Archaeological sites - places that are significant to archaeologists--people who study the material remains of culture. In Florida there are many prehistoric archaeological sites--those left by Florida's prehistoric Indian populations--as well as historical archaeological sites--those left by Florida's European settlers, for example, those in St. Augustine.
